Five Favorite Daily Makeup Products for a Mature Woman

Never did I think I’d be calling myself a “mature woman”, yet here I am. At the ripe old age of 41 I’ve accumulated at least five favorite makeup products, that I use on the daily, that are wrinkle and dry-skin friendly. Imma ’bout to share them with you!

The Faves:

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner: I have “hooded mature eyes”, so finding an eyeliner that stays where I put it is a MUST. This one draws a vivid stark line and dries quickly. It’s relatively inexpensive, comes in many colors, and does exactly what I need it to. ALL. DAY.

Super Goop CC Screen SPF 50: When the dermatologist recommended daily SPF 50 sunscreen to prevent dark age spots, I was bummed. I hate the way sunscreen feels and smells on my face. This one gets the job done while adding a foundation layer, and doesn’t have the chemical smell I loathe. It also doesn’t get pooled up in wrinkles or attach itself to dry skin. I know you know what I’m talking about. It’s pricey, but one bottle lasts me AT LEAST a year. I wear it EVERY DAY.

Maybeline Vivid Hot Lip Lacquer: I don’t actually like to wear a lot of lipstick. They’re either too dry, too thick, too thin, dry my lips out, don’t last long enough, aren’t the right color, etc. etc. I’ve FOUND THE ONE!! This Lip Lacquer is a thick gloss that keeps my lips hydrated. It can be spread thin or thick to adjust color intensity, and it lasts for a good 4 hours. I use it as my daily go-to for lip color.

Too Faced Better Thank Sex Mascara: I scored this at a neighborhood favorite things party, and I remember that friend and fortune every time I use it. It’s the consistency and application for me. As for the name, I think you’ll have to judge for yourself.

Seint No. 4 Collection: This little makeup palette is the perfect everyday set for a mature face. My mom, at the age of 70, swears by it, too! It won’t break the bank or fill your luggage to the brim during travel. The cream texture is hydrating, doesn’t collect in wrinkles or attach to dry skin. The brush is shaped well to apply in various places. I use the pink for my lips, cheeks, and eyelids. It’s a must-have staple, IMO 😉
