- How does Five Favorite Things® make money?
- At the moment FFT isn’t profitable. But fear not, we have a plan! When Favesters create accounts and recommend their favorite products, FFT has the opportunity to make a small amount of affiliate revenue from Amazon and, in the future, other online merchants that support affiliate links. So, if you like what we’re doing, please continue to support us by recommending your favorite products to your friends and shopping on Amazon through our site links!
- Who owns Five Favorite Things® and how are you funding its growth?
- We’re a privately owned business, majority controlled by Megan Eileen. We’ve literally built this puppy in a makeshift office out of Meg’s dining room in Indiana. And it’s our intention to keep it this way. Sure, we want to make money over the long-run (doesn’t everyone?) but not at the expense of compromising our mission or taking advantage of you, the consumer.
- Will Five Favorite Things® sell my data to third parties?
- No. We can’t say this more emphatically. FFT was created by everyday people for everyday people. We’re not here to profit from selling your data. We get just as frustrated as you do when companies do that and that’s why transparency into our operating model is a core part of our values.
- Does Five Favorite Things® rely on influencers?
- Quite the opposite! At FFT, our core belief is that everyone is an influencer within their own friend circles. Influencers are not paid to make recommendations on our site. From time-to-time, we will partner with influencers to engage audiences, throw FFT-themed parties and host giveaways and unboxings.
